Editmonkey is the work of Nick Birtwistle.
After years as a broadcast editor specialising in music and documentary I escaped darkened edit suites to tour the world with the mighty Iron Maiden, producing their live show coverage and putting together their digital content and broadcast documentaries.

In the years since I have produced broadcast documentaries for channels such as BBC, ITV, National Geographic and Sky Arts and worked across sports broadcast and digital social campaigns for clients such as FIFA, Team GB and Formula E.

I'm currently Executive Producer for Formula E, overseeing digital content across the championship's social channels as well as crewing and running the onsite team at races. We also work hand in hand with the host broadcaster to compliment and support the TV offering.
I have had the opportunity to work from some of the world's most extreme locations, from the deserts of the middle east to the polar ice-cap, shooting and producing broadcast content for Extreme E and Aurora Media Worldwide.
In February 2022 I joined the Endurance22 Expedition, a ground-breaking scientific expedition to find Ernest Shackleton's lost ship the Endurance beneath the pack ice of the Weddell Sea in Antartica. As Series Producer for Little Dot Studios I worked across the production of the feature documentary as well as filming for digital as we successfully found the ship, 3000m beneath the sea ice.

At the end of 2022 I travelled to Qatar to run the FIFA Story Features team for Little Dot Studios and HBS, producing 100 films in 28 days for the host broadcast and digital platforms.
